What We Do

Language Sampling

Language Sampling Analysis (LSA) provides useful information about language skills across domains. It should be taken into consideration by SLP's as a possible assessment tool.

Hands On Research

Research on topics such as dual language assessments, DEI in children's literature, and how to characterize language profiles of bilingual children through LSA.

Bilingual Extension Program

The bilingual extension program is a 12-credit certification for students who are interested in conducting appropriate and least-biased assessments, culturally sustaining interventions for bilingual populations, learning the philosophy of bilingual education, and examining trends in the education of immigrants.

MERMAIDS

The Memory and Eyetracking Research and Maybe Also Interlanguaging and Disability Studies (MERMAIDS) lab is an affinity group of the LACH lab that seeks to understand the brain's role in language development and explore the role of society and family relationships within disability.
