BRIEF PRESENTATION
Laboratory of Special and Curative Education (LAB.E.SPE.C.).

Aims:
i. Research work into:
a) Children’s, adolescents’ and adults’ special and curative education. We search the possible ways of the early detection, diagnosis and curative education as well as psycho-pedagogic – psycho-therapeutic intervention as far as the fields of the behavioral problems, learning difficulties, and special education.
Indicative:
Development of a model detecting early tendencies of the dyslexia syndrome based on a content analysis of dyslexic children’s texts.
Laterality, writing and disturbances of psychomotor development of children aged 5-7 years old.
Logicomathematical problems for children with learning difficulties.
The profile of personnel working in special schools and classes in Greece: attempt to record the attitudes, motives and representations of special education teachers in Greece.
Socio-educational effects of educational reinforcement on deviant adolescents resulting from the Greek intermediate structure. Comparative study on Greek and French reality.
ii. Clinical needs on the subject of children’s, adolescents’ and adults’ special and curative education. The term “Curative Education” means:
Clinical evaluation of personality.
Conception, structure-development and instruments’ application on early detection, diagnosis, curative education, psycho-pedagogic and psycho-therapeutic intervention on the fields of behavioral problems, learning difficulties and special education.
Techniques and methods of curative intervention and support of any educational and social act in within the precincts of family, normal schools (where children with learning difficulties and special needs are embodied), classes for special education, special kindergartens, special schools, special professional schools, sanatoria, and special establishments for adults.
iii. Needs of pedagogic and psycho-pedagogic intervention, on the fields of education, professional and social incorporation of the individuals with special needs (conception, structure, and application of instruments for early detection, diagnosis, curative education, as well as, psycho-pedagogic and psycho-therapeutic intervention).
iv. Educational needs in the fields of special and curative education of children, adolescents and adults.
