The Rory series begins triumphantly here in an aged yet familiar tale. Rory Rayno (now Page) is a boy-turned robot due to eating a pencil and dying afterwards. At the E.R., he was built into a robot suit in order to stay alive. He only speaks in gibberish and thus the story is narrated by his sister, Lisa. Their older brother, Raepen, is in the military. His plane and the one the rest of the family is in collide, and Rory gets thrown off of it and onto a deserted island, where the story will continue in Rory 2: Rory 'Rip' Please I Beg You!

Trivia
The day this book was released on, February 7th, was retroactively considered Rory's birthday in the series itself.
Rory only speaking gibberish was retconned, there was no explanation for this.
In 2021, the Rory series' 5-year anniversary was celebrated with bookmarks of current Rory with how he appeared in this title.
In 2026, Rory: Resurrection (2026) celebrated the 10-year anniversary of this book.
