Academic & Executive Function Coach
Welcome!
I partner with families to help students get on top of their work and feel more confident about school. Together, we identify habits that are holding them back, try different tools, and establish new routines to meet their goals. Academic coaching gives strategy to learning and helps develop Executive Function skills.
I am a coach because...
As a student, I've felt overwhelmed by school, anxious about assignments, and lost as to how to plan for tests/projects. I didn't know how to study strategically or how to use my time effectively for life balance. I wish I'd had a coach!
As a parent, I understand how hard it is to watch a child who is struggling. I know the family stress that comes from conflict about school and wanting a child to be more independent in managing work. I have wished that my child could approach challenges with more calm and self-control.
As a teacher, I've witnessed the growth that is possible when students are met with deep empathy and supported in the specific skills they need to meet their goals!
I coach students from middle school through college level. I work with a wide variety of learners, and am particularly attuned to the needs of students with ADHD and “twice exceptional” learners. I welcome students of all backgrounds and identities.
