Comprehensive Coaching
Comprehensive coaching will help you feel less stress and more confidence as you take control of your work. It will help you become more aware of your behavior, in and out of school, and how it impacts your life. We will work towards a realistic understanding of your strengths and challenges in order to help you build habits to meet your goals.
We will:
Identify priorities and set specific goals
Experiment with tools for organization, time management, procrastination, and distractibility
Support you in completing weekly homework
Learn strategies for effective note-taking and test prep
Develop a game plan for tests/projects
Build confidence from practicing new skills
Monitor grades and track progress
Create and track habits, routines, and systems to boost effective effort in academic and non-academic areas of life
Practice strategies for stress management and self-regulation
Create a transition plan for your independence as you master new skills
Our time includes:
Weekly 1:1 coaching (60 min. per week), online/in-person mix as needed
A written summary and task list after each session
Text, call, or email communication with student between sessions for reminders, accountability, and extra support
Communication with parents as needed
Communication with teachers, therapists, and school staff as needed
Participation in conferences, school meetings as needed
Organizational set up materials as needed
Travel (for in-person session)
$150-$175 per week depending on location and plan (week-to-week, grading cycle, full semester)
Additional Coaching Options
Back-to-School Strong: set up systems, review study skills, and plan for the semester before classes begin
Semester Rescue: create a plan to prioritize late work, advocate with teachers for guidance, monitor work completion, and build awareness of the habits that created the situation
Project Management: help to backwards plan for a specific project/paper, break work into manageable steps, set incremental deadlines, support follow-through with scheduled accountability checks and feedback
Exam Prep: manage your study plan, organize resources, and review learning strategies for mid-terms or the push at the end of a semester
College Transition Coaching
Learn to navigate college culture as you transition to a more independent learning environment. I will support you to:
set up/keep calendars
understand a syllabus
plan for efficient workflow
structure study sessions
self-advocate for accommodations
interact with campus Disability Services
use campus resources effectively
implement healthy routines
manage stress
maintain life balance
