Triply Periodic Minimal Surfaces (TPMS) lattices like gyroid and diamond are promising for implants but their mechanical behavior is complex. I used nTopology to model gyroid/diamond lattices, Fusion 360 for design integration, Cura for slicing, and Abaqus for FE simulations. Experimental validation was performed with Instron compression testing and DIC strain mapping.
Modeled gyroid/diamond lattices in nTopology and prepared STL files in Fusion 360 for FDM printing
Conducted ASTM D695 compression tests with Instron and validated FE models in Abaqus within 5–10% error
Used MATLAB to generate design maps linking porosity, pore size, and thickness, showing gyroid absorbed 30% more energy than diamond
