PEEK is difficult to print consistently due to warping and parameter sensitivity. Instead of running 243 full factorial experiments, I used Minitab to design a Taguchi L27 matrix, printed samples on the Intamsys Funmat HT, and analyzed results with MATLAB and Abaqus.
Applied Minitab Taguchi L27 DOE to reduce experiments from 243 to 27 while still capturing nozzle temp, bed temp, infill %, layer height, and speed
Printed specimens on Intamsys Funmat HT and analyzed tensile data with MATLAB and ASTM D638 testing protocols
Identified infill % as dominant (p<0.001), improving tensile modulus by 25% and resilience by 18%
