Eligibility:

• 4th - 11th grade students
• Any ethnic background

Costs:

• $25/participant online (online registration deadline Friday, March 30 at 11:59pm ET)
• $35/participant on-site on Saturday, April 7 at Undergraduate Science Building 12:30pm-1:00pm
• $10 discount per additional participant from same family or parents who are KSEA members

Program Overview:

• Math competition with prizes for top 3 winners per grade (past prizes include drones, iPod shuffle, Amazon Kindle)
• Top 3 winners per grade are eligible for national placement against 36 other chapters
• Free exam tutoring in math review sessions (see below)
• Fun, hands-on science experiment contest in teams
• Parents college information session in parallel
• High school students college information session (see schedule below)
• Snacks and participation prizes for all students
• Michigan KSEA has been participating in the NMSC since 2013

NMSC Math Review Sessions:

• Dates:
  • Sunday, March 18, 2018, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
  • Sunday, March 25, 2018, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
  • Both dates are identical sessions. You may attend one or both.
• Location:
  • University of Michigan - Undergraduate Science Building (USB) - Room 1230, 204 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (Parking and directions below same as exam site)
• Tutors: Dr. Thomas (Huiyong) Zheng, Dr. Benjamin Lee
• Cost: No extra cost and included in online NMSC registration fee
• Requirement: Please download and bring your grade's sample math problems from here http://ksea.org/nmsc/info.asp
• Schedule: Students will work on sample math problems and math tutors will help students who have questions
