Service and Outreach
Below are some ways I've engaged in service and outreach while at CSU.
Below are some ways I've engaged in service and outreach while at CSU.
I have served on the board of the CSU Student Chapter of SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) for three years. Here is a select list of activities that I organized:
Lab tours (NOAA, NREL, NCAR, CSU Energy Institute)
Here is an article I wrote in SIAM News about our lab tour of NCAR.
Applications of Math panel with faculty from other CSU departments (2x)
Coding workshops (CoCalc)
Summer internship panel
Additionally, I represented our chapter at the Third Joint SIAM/CAIMS Annual Meetings (AN25) in Montreal, Quebec and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Service to our student chapter two consecutive years.
In 2026, I curated an art exhibition at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art titled Symmetry, Structure, Space: Mathematical Visions in Art. I selected works of art from the permanent collection based on how they visually suggest mathematical ideas in logic, algebra, and geometry. I then invited advanced math students to join me in writing accompanying labels for the artwork. The exhibition ran February 18 - August 9th, 2026.
