U.S. Peace Corps

From 2018 - 2020, I served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, Southern Africa. With local counterparts in the village of Ha Malephane, I taught mathematics and sexual health to secondary school students, started a school library with books donated through the African Library Project, created an after-school mathematics club, facilitated Grassroot Soccer HIV prevention clubs, and organized a Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) youth leadership summer camp.

Running

I love to run the city paths and mountains trails around my town of Boulder, Colorado. For me, running is a social activity. I regularly run with Boulder Trail Runners and guide runners with disabilities through Achilles Boulder.

Music

I have played violin since age 9. I currently play a violin made in 2025 by Kevin Aldrich. I enjoy playing classical chamber music and Irish and bluegrass fiddle. Watch a video of my quartet The Klein 4 Group (all math graduate students) performing Æ Rømeser by the Danish String Quartet.
