Krishna Kills Putana

I'm sure you won't be entertained by my boring life right after birth. Everything is rather quaint and peaceful during that time! So let me slide you down the timeline here. This is when the dark demonic forces start to find out about my birth on Earth and decide to confront me. In simpler words ... when my life starts to get exciting!

Now of cooourse, you should know by now that I, as the all-powerful Bhagavan, orchestrate everything in existence! This includes the deeds of the demons as well, but shhhh! *Whispers* Trust me, I have a plan. Anyways! I also orchestrate the demonic conflicts with Krishna, which you are about to witness! What? Isn't an Infinite Being allowed to experience some excitement and conflict within Itself? After all, excitement and conflict are both concepts that exist within Me. So I can't exactly escape them. I might as well enjoy Myself!! So let's get this show on the road! Putana! Step right up! Psssh, this is the first demon who confronts Me in Krishna's life.

Remember that evil king, Kansa? He's the brother of my mother, Devaki. Mhm mmm! My rhyming game is strong! Anyways, it is he who sends Putana after my infant self as soon as he discovers that I, his prophesied murderer, have survived.

Putana is a horrific demoness with long disheveled hair, lanky curling nails, and teeth so large and elongated that they spring forth from her haggard mouth with a blood-red tongue. If none of that terrifies you, she's as tall as a full-grown camel! I would not dare let you lay eyes on her true shape. Oh, you're curious now? Wellll, okay. Here goes...

Oh! Don't pass out, don't pass out! We've still got a long ways to go before finishing this story! Come on now, if you could handle the true forms of the Trimurti then you can handle an image of Putana. They are infinitely more terrifying then she is. Not to mention hypnotizing because they are transcendentally beautiful at the same time. You know what? I'll just wipe your memory! Now it's as if you were never shown any image. See? No image of Putana on this page. It's gone.

Now, let's continue. Kansa found Putana performing black magic in a cave that lies very deep in a dense, dark forest. What a wonderful home! I don't know about you but I've always loved deep dark forests! They're just so cozy and private and ... oh... right. You wanna finish the story. Okay, well, Kansa commanded Putana to search out my whereabouts and kill me.

Now look, there she is taking on the guise of a beautiful maiden. That home she's walking towards is where I was taken after being rescued from Kansa's wrath. Putana has just started talking with my mother, Devaki. Let's go inside and watch the scene escalate!

Putana: *Gazes at Krishna in the cradle and is stunned* Oh my! What an absolutely beautiful child! His image has exceeded my expectations and I have no doubts that He is certainly Divine! *Looks at Devaki* May I please feed your wonderful child, dear mother of God!?

Devaki: *Thinks Putana is a beautiful goddess* Why of course! A Divine woman such as yourself should be worthy of nurturing a Divine child if I am! *Chuckles*

*Devaki lifts baby Krishna out of the cradle and hands Him to Putana. Putana proceeds to expose her breast and bring Krishna's face towards it. Krishna begins to suckle.

Putana: *Thinking to herself* Wait! Something's not right! Rather than my poisonous milk transferring from my breast to Krishna, I feel my life being sucked out of me! What a horror this baby is who drains me of my very life!

*Putana wails and screams, exposing her real demonic voice in the matter. She then breaks her guise and reveals her ghastly true form. She attempts many different maneuvers, even flying through the sky, to try and pry the incredibly strong Krishna off her breast. It's all to no avail and the infant Krishna slays his first demon. Putana lies dead in the middle of Krishna's village for all to see.
