Kakao Talk
The commonly used communication tool in Korea. It will be used for communication during the program. When filling out the application form, there is a section where you need to provide your Kakao Talk ID - please install it beforehand and register your name in English (full name).
Kakao Talk - Registration Guide
① Select "Register" on the login screen when you launch the app.
（If you already have an account - log-in）
－For new registration－
② Review and agree to all the terms and conditions
③ Register a phone number. Select the country code and enter the phone number. (E.g., Country code: Japan +81, or South Korea +82)
④ An authentication code will be sent to the registered phone number via SMS, so enter it to authenticate.
⑤ Set a password
⑥ Set your profile picture, name, date of birth, and gender.
Please register your real name - full name in English (for communication with International Affairs staff).
⑦ Enter your email address and receive a verification email. Use the verification number you receive to proceed with registration.
⑧ Registration complete! The Kakao Talk home screen will appear.
How to set up your ID💡
① Click the settings icon at the top of the Kakao Talk homepage (located on the top right corner) and click "General Settings".
② Click on "Manage" next to the name field at the top.
③ Set up your Kakao Talk ID under Information Management.
An easy way to verify your ID💡
① Click the second icon from the left, "Add Friend", located at the top of the Kakao Talk homepage
② When your QR code appears, your ID will be written below your name.
Naver map
The most used app in Korea. You can also search in Japanese or English. The information is more accurate than Goggle Maps, so we recommend installing it.
When you arrive, search for "Konkuk University Seoul Campus"" or "Konkuk University Seoul Campus Cool House" (dormitory)!

A translation app that also supports image translation.
