Why You Need a SIM Card in Korea
To use a mobile phone in Korea, a SIM card is required.
Although Korea has excellent Wi-Fi coverage, we strongly recommend purchasing a SIM card for traveling within the country
and for emergency communication.
With a SIM card, you will be able to access the internet even when Wi-Fi is not available.
What is the difference between a SIM card and an eSIM?
SIM Card
A SIM card is a physical card that you insert into your mobile phone.
You will need to remove your current SIM card and replace it with the new one.
eSIM
An eSIM is a digital SIM that does not require a physical card.
You can activate it by scanning a QR code or following online setup instructions.

How to Purchase a SIM Card
Please purchase a SIM card that supports data, domestic calls, and SMS.
(Data-only SIM cards are not recommended.)
