River and Restoration Tour

Tuesday May 23, 2023

The River and Restoration Tour taught me that the river was used for goods and trade but now is a tourist attraction and leisure spot, instead of using it for shipping and transporting goods. Historically, this river was used for the working class and the museum gave good insights into who was working there and had great artifacts from that time and pieces to show from then. The museum was also really cool because the building for the most part is all original to its main architecture back in the 1800s.

Today we also went on the Uber boat, which took us down the river. We had seen the city from a new perspective, which was an amazing experience. After arriving at our destination we talked about how different the times have changed the way we use the river because back in the 1800-1900s it was used for goods and now it is mainly a tourist attraction that helps the community as a whole because it brings in and attracts new business for the places along the river.
