Design Thinking

Grocery Store Activity:

First look into design thinking and really look deep into what stores do to persuade people to buy their products.

Journey Map Activity:

Looking at the day as a whole and then applying it to different scenarios that some people may encounter on other occasions. 

Point of View Template:

Exercise on learning how to make a point of view statement and placing the young female adults feeling on composting.

Multi-timed City:

This activity we did at UDL was interesting because I haven't thought like that for any of my projects before and it was cool to think about how a good community would be built by how long it would take to get places. 

Empathy Mapping:

Interviewed a young female adult about her feelings about composting and putting notes into sections of an empathy map to discuss her feelings and attitude toward the topic.

Crazy 8 Activity:

This was an exercise for 10 minutes and it was to be creative and come up with multiple ideas for composting and how to conquer this challenge and attract the younger adults of the world.

Generative Design:

Podcast over the future of city design and how buildings can be seen before even being built. This technology can be used by citizens of the world and see the projected outcome of the project.

Modular Pavement:

Trying to find new ways to have low maintenance roads that are light weight and also not harmful to the earth. 

Mobility on Demand:

The podcast was talking about how in the citys it would be more efficent to combine all transportation into one app. It would make a frictionless way of transportation with out the head ache of navigating the city.

Affordability by Design

This technology could renovate small living spaces and make them comfortable to live in. There was also mention of shared living spaces and how that can free up some space and also gain built-in neighbor buddies. 

Affordable Electrification:

This podcast was stating that electricity needs to become more common because of greenhouse gas emissions. It also mentioned the electricity grid and how we take and give to the grid. "The amount of electricity produced has to equal the amount of electricity has to be used.
