Future-Ready Family
Parents are the past, present, and future of our students' lives. Preparing our students’ parents is as essential as preparing ourselves to be future-ready counselors. Research consistently shows that when parents actively engage in their child's education, students achieve higher academic performance, exhibit better behavior, and have more positive attitudes toward school. Recognizing the significant impact of parental involvement, we will discuss establishing a comprehensive parent education program to equip parents with the necessary knowledge and tools to support children's education. We will also address barriers to implementing these programs and strategies for continued evaluation and improvement of parent programs. We hope to give tools for involving parents to encourage and contribute to a collaborative educational environment that enhances student success.
