STUDENT GOVERNMENT
I served as the Director of Campus Services at UC's Undergraduate Student Government. In this role, along with the rest of my Campus Life Committee, I facilitated communication between SG and Langsam library administrators to extend hours. We created a petition on change.org to assess the popularity and support of the initiative among the student and body, and we were showcased in a News Record article.
MIDWEST DHAMAKA
Midwest Dhamaka is the University of Cincinnati’s premier South Asian fusion dance competition. We are a nationally recognized competition that brings in 8 teams from around the country to compete in Cincinnati. Midwest Dhamaka not only brings in teams from all over the country but also promotes diversity and inclusion. As a Logistics Co-chair, I worked with my team to secure a hotel block and transportation for the weekend. We created a minute by minute and worker breakdown schedules for the exec board and liaison staff. We also secured practice spaces on campus and helped coordinate the delegation of tasks as they raised all weekend.
ELEVEN.ONE
My friends and I created an initiative upon the death of one of our close friends to suicide. Since our conception, we have given suicide prevention training to PACE Leaders and Business Pathway Students at the Lindner College of Business, Gateway students at UHP, and tutors in the Bearcat Buddies Program. In Spring 2023, we officially registered our organization with SAB. The organization's name is derived from the statistic that every eleven minutes, one person passes away by suicide.
This past year, I served as UC HOSA's President. Our chapter transitioned into an entirely in-person setting since COVID, and chapter membership increased to about 45 members. Moreover, I completed two more semesters at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital as an Asthma Immersive Research Experience Program student.
