1994 Johnson Family Reunion

Hey! Cousins.

We're having a picnic. This is a special cousin picnic.

We're not excluding anyone, but we are especially including the descendants of Helmer and Alfreda and Johnie and Marie. As you know, Helmer and Johnie were brothers and Alfreda and Marie неге sisters. Brothers married sisters. Therefore, all of the children of Helmer and Alfreda have the same first cousins as the children of Johnie and Marie.

These first cousins are:

We have sent invitations to all of the above first cousins and/or their spouses and to the children of the first cousins. If we have left anyone out, please call one of us listed on the back. We have also sent invites to the brothers and sisters (and in-laws) of Helmer and Johnie and Alfreda and Marie with instructions to pass this information on to their children.

We have chosen the date of Sunday, July 10, 1994, because of a special happening in the area. This happening will bring many of the Johnie and Marie Johnson family to the Seattle area as a granddaughter of Johnie and Marie is getting married on Saturday. July 9th.

Well, now you know who may be at the picnic on July 10th. We hope you will be there also.

We do know that there is also a Helmer and Alfreda Johnson reunion at Russ and Darcy Trostad's place in Billings, Montana, on June 4th and 5th. What a grand time that should be!

We had already secured a picnic spot earlier this year so we are going to go ahead with these plans for a picnic in Renton. Washington on July 10th. We hope some of you can be at both gatherings.

So here's the scoop on the picnic site and happenings. The picnic is at Renton's Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park, 1201 Lake Washington Blvd. North. From 1-405 take Exit #5 from either northbound or southbound. Then follow the signs to Coulon Park. We have the Creekside Shelter (look for balloons and signs). Parking is limited. If you're able to carpool, please do so.

We have the picnic site from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and we plan to eat as close to 1:00 pm as possible. This is a potluck picnic. Please bring your favorite picnic food. We will, however, have the following available: hot dogs and condiments, coffee, McDonald's orange drink, paper plates, cups, and utensils.

We will be asking you for a donation to defray the cost of the picnic site, food, etc.

Coulon Park is a beautiful area, and it includes a boat launch, fishing piers, walkways, a food concession, play equipment area, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, and volleyball courts, a summer swimming area, and bathrooms near our secluded picnic site.
