God sees you, cares for you, loves you, forgives you, and teaches you!
Jesus taught using parables, which are stories to help people understand God. In Luke 15, Jesus teaches three parables about lost things - A Lost Sheep, A Lost Coin, A Lost Son. In all of these stories, we learn that God rejoices when we choose to follow him!
But, how do we follow God? We realize that we are sinners, and our sin separates us from God. From the beginning, God knew we would sin and had a plan to rescue his people. That plan was Jesus! Jesus came to earth - fully God and fully man - lived a perfect life despite facing temptations. As part of God's plan, Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. But, he didn't stay dead. Three days later, he rose again to show that he had power over sin, death, and the brokenness of the world. We choose to put our trust in Jesus.
