God sees you and he cares for you! He cares when you're happy, sad, and even scared. God cares about you all the time. In Mark 4, we read about when Jesus cared about his friends. They were in a boat going across a big lake, but a big storm began. The wind was strong, the waves were big, and Jesus' friends were scared. The whole time, Jesus was asleep! His friends woke him up to help. Jesus stood up and said, "Be still!" And the storm stopped! Jesus cared about his friends and that his friends truly knew who he was. He saved them from the storm, but he also showed them that he was God and that strengthened their faith.
Jesus cares about us too. He loves us so much that he came to rescue us. The following verse reminds us that God helps us because he cares about us.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Practice Psalm 34:3
Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!
When Jesus calmed the storm, how did that show the disciples that he cared for them?
What would it look like for God to be your refuge?
Pray and thank God for caring for you.
