Mobile learning

Module 7 was the elective module where participants were given a choice of learning more about online learning, mobile learning, or Common Core Standards. The mobile learning module covered the various 1:1 models including bring your own device/technology philosophies and practices.

Reflection: Mobile Learning

I reviewed all three of the elective choices and found that mobile learning was a topic that I am continuously working on and was a fit for my position. This activity provided an opportunity to consider many aspects of mobile learning that I might not have thought about. I am currently leading a team of district and site staff that implemented a “blended learning” initiative without a glance at the bigger picture. This activity helped to clarify how to take a step back and look at all aspects of a mobile environment which includes blended learning. The presentation that I created will be used at a planning meeting later this month.

I thought all three topics were valuable as an elective module and would keep all three. I would recommend updating some of the content on the mobile learning module as there are newer resources available in the ever changing world of technology.
