The Volunteers! Doesn't happen without you. Thank you for choosing to #createkindness for others with KIDS CARE.
Mrs. Cheryl Carson for donating your time, supplies, crafting skills & leadership to help guide us in our 1 1/2 hrs of card creating! You Rock!
Valentines Sidewalk Chalk Love for Seniors Complete! KIDS CARE volunteers of all ages spent hours decorating the sidewalks of two local senior Living Homes. And wow did we have a ton of fun!
Youth inspired community service led us to lay down L--V-E at Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory & Winnwood Retirement Community.
At Arbor Terrace we loved that the seniors could watch us thru the windows. Soon enough they were coming outside to watch while waving & smiling at our volunteers. So special! We even got to watch a few of them enjoy the artwork.
Next we drove over to Winnwood Retirement Community where we colored the sidewalks that the seniors would be walking on to get to their "Burning Love Ball" on Valentines Day.
We are so proud of our volunteers for taking the time to make a HUGE impact on the lives of Seniors. We have gotten incredible feedback from the staff of how our actions over the last two days raised the Spirits & Energy of their residents. And bonus - our volunteers felt their Hearts Grow! Great idea KIDS!!
Atlanta Rescue Dog Cafe led KIDS CARE volunteers in ARDC's "One Leash Project." All leashes created on 3/19/22 were donated to Marietta Fire Dept Station #3 to be used to help secure loose pets during emergencies.
This service learning opportunity was fun, educational, therapeutic, & supportive for our local First Responders. All rope used was recycled climbing rope.
THANK YOU: Mr. Aaron Fischer of ARDC, therapy dogs Otto, Jasmine, & Chloe and their handlers Kathie, Pam, & Theresa. And of course THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!
Learning to connect with nature is a service to our world. When we are connected we care. When we care we respect. And then we Love. And when we Love we value & protect.
Volunteers cleaned Laurel Park of litter, had fun with a scavenger hunt, choose winners for the Earth Day Poem Contest and took home their own potted flowers!
Give Time & Love to your Community. Be the change you wish to see for a Kinder & more Connected World. Community depends on the people who show up.
Thank you beautiful families for your Kind Hearts, your hard work, and your inspiration. WATCH AWESOME FACEBOOK VIDEO: https://fb.watch/kTz_pB9X_V/
Youth are so helpful & caring! Give them the space & the place and they will show their big, kind hearts.
Who doesn't love feeling helpful? These youth volunteers were so excited to help today they didn't want to leave!
It's magic to watch the chaos of volunteers getting started and then turn into harmony... all the hearts working together as one big giving heart... getting it done!
So much giving, so much learning. So much caring & so much compassion. #servicelearning #servicelearningnonprofit
Thank you YOUTH & FAMILY VOLUNTEERS! Its way better together with you. THANK YOU The Salvation Army Marietta Corps for letting #kidscare2018 pack 260 food bags for you to fulfill your mission to feed the hungry, thank you for serving our community.
Thank you Keep Smyrna Beautiful & Smyrna Recycling Center for helping to educate us on the ya's & nay's of responsible recycling. (No wishcycling)
We loved the tour of the recycling center, the hands on learning & fun sorting game at the end to practice our new skills.
Did you know that the average U.S resident produces about 4.5 pounds of waste per day? (Most of which is recyclable). Time to take ownership & responsibility of our own trash. #selfeducation
If you missed the tour with us join up with #keepsmyrnabeautiful to catch the next available tour.

This past July/Aug our volunteers & donors definitely let us know that we were not alone on our mission to get new school supplies to students in need in Cobb County. We felt your Love and we passed it on to 7 local nonprofits who then felt your Love. They were happy, relieved and grateful to get to pass our Kindness onto the families/students whom they serve. Receiving an unexpected gift of new backpacks with supplies allows students to feel cared for and sets them up for expanded opportunities. Let's hope they continue to have moments in which they feel they are not alone in this world.
336 Full Backpacks were gifted to:
Ser Familia, Inc (75 Backpacks)
LiveSafe Resources (70 Backpacks)
Simple Needs GA, Inc. (55 Backpacks)
The Center for Family Resources (35 Backpacks)
Foster4Love (35 Backpacks)
Cool Kids Committee Inc. (34 Backpacks)

Thank you Cobb County Police Department for your collaboration & commitment to this mission. Thank You also to Cobb County Commissioner Jerica Richardson for your support, inspiration & Kindness.
Not our litter but it is our Earth. KC Litter Heroes took off at Laurel Park on 9/24 in search of all litter - big & small. As expected we found the usual suspects lingering dangerously in wildlife habitats: cigarette butts, plastic bread ties, tin/aluminum cans, glass bottles, balloons, plastic bottles, bottle caps, plastic bags, straws, metal, toys, styrofoam, to go containers and more...including the thoroughly disliked plastic tree parts pretending to camouflage the cell phone tower.
Thanks to our bright bunch of volunteers who have their super power "Trash Eyes" focused on ALL the trash...including the MICROPLASTICS! We are so proud of everyone's efforts and knowledge. Thank you for tending to Mother Earth with us. Special Congrats & Gratitude to Cory for earning his "Earth Hero" Patch! Great job Cory! WATCH FACEBOOK VIDEO HERE: https://fb.watch/kTCvZ7Q7Nc/

Where Does Kindness Come From? "It's gotta come from somewhere. It's coming from us. It's coming from you and you and you and you. It's coming from our hearts, the light, the love." - Amie Burke, Co-Founder KIDS CARE
Let's remember that Kindness comes from us. We are the light. We are the ripple of good in the world. We do make a difference. We are powerful beings. Keep practicing & Creating Kindness everyday. Release mind thoughts and give from the Human Heart. We promise...it feels good to give without expectations! Goodness will return multiplied into your Heart immediately upon giving. It's beautiful magic.
