Litter pick up, planning session (ask kids how they want to serve their community), pizza and play time. A great feeling occurred as we watched parents working together with their children. Talking about litter & our Earth. Helping each other reach for that one more piece. Smiling when they got it. Watching them feel good about doing a service for their community together. A feeling of Happiness for all of us. Then to give them a space to speak their voice. Their ideas are used for future service experiences. HELPING COMPLETED 2/21/2020.

Cleaning up the EARTH is everybody's job - giving the kids space & time to care, along with the awareness of choices, pollution/litter & helping out is one of KIDS CARE goals. Parents making the time for this to happen is great role modeling. And as our little leader says "KIDS DO CARE"! HELPING COMPLETE 9/20/2020

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO GIVE YOUR GENTLY USED SNEAKERS & BOOKS TO SOMEONE WHO CAN USE THEM - NOT THE LANDFILL!
HELP US CREATE SMILES & COMFORT FOR OTHERS.
WHY? From the Heart...
This simple act of giving your gently used shoes to be re-used can give warmth & protection to another souls feet.
In addition to education, giving books to others offers an endless supply of opportunities & greatness to those who can not afford such a simple purchase.
WHY? Some simple stats...
In the United States, at least 200 million pairs of shoes and sneakers end up in landfills each year. *
Shoes in landfills can take 30 to 40 years to decompose. *
More than 600 million people worldwide don’t even own a pair of shoes. *
640,000 tons of books are deposited into landfills every year. *
