Monica lives in Brooklyn, NY, where she spends her days as a fashion and beauty copywriter (yes, naming shades is a real thing!) and her nights as an enthusiastically winging-it picture book writer. When she's not wrangling words, her two energetic daughters, or her running sneakers, she’s probably forgetting about her Bluesky account—but you can follow her anyway.

Janice Milusich never leaves home without a book tucked in her bag or pocket. That way, when a chance to enter into a story makes itself known, like when waiting in a long line at a store, or if an appointment is running late, she's ready to read. Libraries and bookstores are her favorite places to get lost in.
Her love of reading drew her to writing, though she didn't start writing for children until she began teaching them. When she's not reading or writing, Janice is a teacher for preschool students with visual impairments or blindness.
Janice is the author of the chapter book series Cleo's Big Ideas; her forthcoming book, I Hear The Snow, I Smell The Sea, illustrated by Chris Raschka, launches in the fall of 2025.
Janice lives near the beach on Long Island, NY, where she walks the shoreline, finding rocks or shells that inevitably find their way home in her pocket.

Kristen wrote her first poem at age 7 and instantly knew she could say more with her pen than she ever could out loud. Now a proud mother of seven, she has walked the banks of Plum Creek, enjoyed the raspberry cordial of Avonlea, and has been published in Highlights: High Five (July 2019). Her lyrical nonfiction manuscript, LOST & FOUND, received honorable mention in SCBWI's 2024 Ann Whitford Paul-Writer's Digest Most Promising Picture Book awards, and her lyrical historical fiction manuscript, O WONDROUS SOUND, received honorable mention in Mindy Alyse Weiss's 2025 #PBParty. Kristen enjoys giving back to the #kidlit community through her role as ARA & webinar coordinator for SCBWI Eastern PA where she is a regular contributor to the Eastern Penn Points blog. When not writing and revising or advising, she can be followed around the country on family road trips, trying to reach the ever-elusive states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii.
