So we were on a road trip to Pithoragarh last month and this is the story of our unplanned stay at one of the best resorts near Jageshwar Dham. We left early morning from our home in New Delhi for a road trip to Pithoragarh, it was a family trip with my wife and kids. We were excited about this trip and had been waiting for it for a while.
Between schools, offices and homes, we were losing our mental peace and this trip was a way to take some time out from our busy lifestyle. Our plan was to explore Pithorgarh and nearby places like Jageshwar dham, Binsar Hill Station, Vridh jageshwar and many more tourist destinations.
All went well until we received a call from the hotel we had booked about a problem with the room and they couldn’t offer another room. Even after all the conversion and hunt we failed to find a good hotel in and around Pithoragarh.
It was a 14 hrs drive so I was well aware that we would need a good rest after reaching our destination somewhere around Pithoragarh. We were losing hope, then I got an idea - since Uttarakhand is a favourite tourist destination it welcomes lakhs of explorers every year and it will have properties listed on Airbnb.
I started exploring all the resorts, hotels, and properties. After exploring a lot of properties I found a nice one. It is also rated as one of the best places to stay near jageshwar dham and its name is Stonewood Homestay.
I booked a room and reached there before 11 pm, thankfully they provided us with food, which we ate and fell asleep immediately.
The next morning, and what a morning, a scenic view of the Himalayas and then lots of greenery, birds singing, cold air, and lots of space for kids to play. I don’t know how but we extended our stay here and enjoyed this place and nearby tourist destinations.
We also explored Jageshwar dham, Binsar Hill Station, Vridh jageshwar and many more tourist destinations. We also went to Pithoragarh, but we suppressed our stay there because we were already getting. So, this unplanned stay really turned into an amazing exploration experience.
