Academic Writing Workshop
To support students in their preparation for final examinations, the Department of English organizes an annual review of internal exam papers under the guidance of Dilip Barad Sir, with the support of Prakruti Ma’am and Megha Ma’am. This practice enables students to identify common errors, improve their writing techniques, and develop a more structured approach to answering questions. By analyzing their own responses, students gain a clearer understanding of key concepts and learn to present their ideas more effectively.
In addition to this, the department conducts a workshop titled “Essay Type Answer Analysis” to further strengthen academic writing skills. The workshop focuses on essential aspects such as constructing strong arguments, maintaining coherence, and achieving clarity in expression. Through detailed discussions and constructive feedback, students receive valuable guidance on improving their writing style and crafting well-organized, analytical answers for examinations.
Digital Skilling
In today’s digital age, technology plays a vital role in everyday life, offering students numerous apps and online platforms that enhance both learning and skill development. Recognizing the importance of these digital tools in education, a Digital Skilling Workshop was organized for first-year students to introduce them to useful and emerging technologies. The aim of the workshop was to familiarize students with new digital resources and guide them in effectively using these tools for academic work and creative expression.
The workshop was conducted by senior students under the guidance of the ICT Committee, providing a practical and hands-on learning experience. Participants were introduced to various platforms that support research, improve productivity, and enhance communication. They explored tools for note-making, data management, presentation design, and digital content creation, gaining valuable real-time experience. The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation, allowing students to ask questions, experiment with features, and learn in a collaborative environment. By the end of the workshop, students developed a better understanding of how technology can be used effectively to improve their academic performance and build essential skills for the future.
