During the academic years 2024–2026 of my M.A. program, our department organized several academic visits to enhance our learning and understanding. These visits provided us with valuable exposure beyond the classroom, allowing us to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experiences. They played an important role in enriching our academic journey and broadening our perspectives.
Victoria Visit 2024
On 31st August 2024, we visited Victoria Park as part of our study of Romantic Age literature. The visit allowed us to connect deeply with nature, much like the Romantic poets emphasized in their works. During the visit, we engaged in creative activities such as writing poetry, sketching, and capturing photographs of the natural surroundings. This experience helped us understand the essence of Romanticism by experiencing nature directly and expressing it through our own creativity.

Education Tour 2025
As part of our educational tour organized by the Department of English, we visited Adalaj Stepwell and Kankaria Lake. This visit provided us with a rich cultural and historical experience beyond the classroom.
Exploring Adalaj ni Vaav helped us appreciate the architectural beauty and historical significance of stepwells, while our visit to Kankaria Lake offered a refreshing and engaging environment. Overall, the tour was both educational and enjoyable, enhancing our understanding of heritage, culture, and collective learning.
Bortalav & TRP Cafe Visit 2025
In August 2025, we had an academic visit to Bortalav Lake and TRP Cafe as part of our study of the Romantic and Neo-Classical ages. This visit helped us connect literary concepts with real-life experiences, especially the Romantic emphasis on nature and the balance and order associated with Neo-Classical thought.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit, as it provided a refreshing environment for learning, interaction, and creative expression. It was both an insightful and memorable experience for all of us.
Regional Science Center Visit 2025
In November 2025, we visited the Regional Science Center as part of our academic exploration. During the visit, we explored five different galleries, each offering unique insights into science, technology, and innovation.
This experience allowed us to engage with various concepts in an interactive way, making learning both interesting and practical. Overall, the visit was informative, engaging, and helped broaden our understanding beyond the classroom.
Library Visit 2025-26
In 2026, we also visited several important libraries in Bhavnagar as part of our academic learning. Our visits included the Central Library, Gandhi Smruti Library, and Barton Library.
These visits helped us explore a wide range of books, academic resources, and historical collections. It was a valuable experience that enhanced our research skills and deepened our appreciation for reading and knowledge.
Media-Press Visit 2025-26
In December 2025, we had an academic visit focused on mass media, which turned out to be a highly enriching experience for me. I had the opportunity to take on a leadership role as the head of the Mass Media Committee, and along with my co-leader Jyoti Mer, we successfully guided and managed the visit.
During this visit, we explored various aspects of press and media, gaining practical insights into the processes behind the scenes, including printing, editing, and newspaper production. This experience not only enhanced our understanding of media operations but also strengthened my leadership and organizational skills, making it a truly memorable and valuable learning experience.
Vibrant Gujrat Academic Tour Rajkot 2026
On 13th January 2026, we visited Marwadi University as part of the government initiative Vibrant Gujarat Summit. This visit provided us with an opportunity to explore a vibrant blend of culture, innovation, and academic excellence.
During the visit, we experienced various cultural displays and activities that reflected the diversity and richness of Gujarat. It was an engaging and insightful experience that broadened our understanding beyond the classroom and allowed us to witness the connection between education, culture, and development.
