IB magnet students take AP courses in the social studies sequence for additional college credits. (AP Government in grade 9, AP US History in grade 10) Beginning in junior year, 7 of 8 courses taken are IB courses.

Overall scores also include an independent project worked on during class. Exam scores are not solely based on the high stakes timed component.
