The project must last one month and must utilize the stages.
The stages must be used when developing a project and when engaging in long term experiences.
Reflections must last 18 months and be completed weekly.
CAS:
Supports and is supported by the subjects
Foster international mindedness
Develop self-awareness and personal identity
Is comprised of 18 months of experiences and reflections
Includes a one month project designed and executed by the student and in collaboration with others
CAS is organized around the three strands of creativity, activity and service defined as follows.
Creativity—exploring and extending ideas leading to an original or interpretive product or performance
Activity—physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle
Service—collaborative and reciprocal engagement with the community in response to an authentic need
Students reflect in their experiences within these strands and complete a project connected to one or more of the strands.
Students work to achieve each of these learning outcomes in their CAS journey. The project also connects to at least one learning outcome.
Students use the CAS STAGES to complete their reflections and project.
