The following subpages attached to this section are projects and activities created for the purpose of educating the teacher of some of the programs, websites, and services available in the high technology world we live in.
The AUP's purpose is to inform both students and parents about the basic rules of the classroom and the consequences of violating said rules. This project is to give the teacher experience in creating these important documents which will serve us well in the following years of teaching.
The Basic Tools project includes the use of Microsoft Word, Canva, Adobe Express, Microsoft Excel, and Google Spreadsheets. The purpose of this project is to get the teacher used to utilizing these programs which will be used in the professional field in the future. We also had to create two lesson plans that integrated Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets in the lesson. For the purpose of this project, I created spreadsheets on potential energy, and acceleration. We also created newsletters in Word to get us used to their creation for when we need them in the professional field.
The Books and Toys project was an activity designed to get the teacher familiar with the range and usage of various devices and robotics that are available for the purpose of education. The project also included some range of books that may be useful in educating students about various subjects.
The Evaluation Project was an activity that involved trying out and exploring a wide range of apps and sites that potentially have academic uses. Teachers were grouped up and set to evaluate and review apps and sites to assess their uses and if they are applicable to the classroom. This project also gave us an idea as to what apps and sites we would find useful in the professional field.
The Graphic Organizer project was an activity that involved using the Inspire program to create graphic organizers that we would use in our lessons. The purpose of this project was to get teachers familiar with the creation of graphic organizers and their applications in the field of education.
The Lesson Plans project involved the creation of four lesson plans that had the use of technology included. The purpose of this project was to get teachers familiar with and used to the creation of the EdTPA lesson plan format and the integration of technology into them.
The Online Tools project involved exploring the internet for useful tools that can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection. In this instance, they are tools that will assist in the education process by provided services and resources for the purpose of facilitating learning. They can be anything from a graphic organizer website, to a blog, to a resource database, to a video creator, to an archive. The purpose of this project was to get the teacher familiar with some of the online tools available for use in the professional education field.
The PowerPoint Project was an activity that involved creating an E-Book and a Drill and Practice activity using solely PowerPoint. The purpose of this project was to get the teacher familiar with the intricacies and uses of PowerPoint.
The VPODs project was an activity that involved creating two videos with audio that were about myself and a how to video. For the purposes of this assignment, I chose to create a video on the process of reciprocal reading. The purpose of this project was to get the teacher familiar with the creation of videos with the purpose of using them in the professional education field.
The Wishlist project was an assignment that involved creating a wishlist for a future class. The purpose of this project was to prepare the teacher to forward these items to the school of their workplace in the case there is extra money that needs to be spent.
