Advanced Robotics (begun in Fall 2016) is a hands-on student driven course exploring programming languages used with robotics and in-depth building projects. Unlike electives in 9/10th grades which meet five periods, Advanced Robotics meets only twice during the 8-day cycle.
There is no homework in this elective.
This semester students are building VexIQ robots and programming using four programming language options to program their robots to operate autonomously within a given set of parameters.
All students are welcomed in Advanced Robotics.
Students who have taken CPSR will use the C-Programming language to program their robots. Students who have not taken the CPSR elective will program using Modkit for Vex software, a block programming language developed by MIT.
