My recommendation is that schools should have some consistency with settings so that parents and students get a similar experience.

These Seesaw Class Posters are simplified versions of the QR code posters.  Simply add your class QR code then print and laminate!

One Seesaw App!

Seesaw now has just one app that can be used by teachers, students and family members.  Multiple accounts can be signed in on the same device at the same time, making it easy for multiple family members to use the same device.  This graphic shows the family view.

Seesaw Messages

Seesaw have updated the features to messages.  Group conversations - ie a conversation with both the child's family members can be started.  Be careful using this feature as all members of the group will see replies.   For messages to a whole class - use the new announcement feature that does not allow replies.

Folders make it easy for teachers, students and families to find posts in Seesaw.

Hot Tip: Use 😀 emojis at the start of the folder name to support young learners who are beginning to read.

In shared device classrooms (with students can see each other's work turned off) it can be a little annoying that students can't see teacher posts - even if the student is tagged in the post.  To overcome this I use Seesaw Blogs and it works beautifully!

Before using this method you will need to set up your class blog.  If you are worried about items being public you can password protect the blog.  Only users not logged into the class will need to use the password.
