Not to be confused with the larger Meadowbrook Park in Prairie Village, this small park in Gladstone is a true neighborhood park. If you live nearby, this is a great place for the kids to burn some energy on a nice day. The equipment is in great shape and our kids always really enjoy themselves. There are a few different places for kids to climb, and the slides are really cool because they allow the kids to race each other. Gladstone Parks and Rec converted the old tennis court into two pickleball courts, which are used regularly by locals. There is also a sand volleyball court and a basketball court as well as a small pavilion.
The biggest drawback of Meadowbrook Park is the lack of bathrooms. There isn't even a port-a-potty, so your time will be limited if your kids use the bathroom as often as ours do. There are also no seats for adults near the playground. If you come here, I highly recommend brining lawn chairs.
