Often people turn to plant medicines because they desire to reclaim their autonomy on their health journey. Unlike pharmaceuticals, an herb will present a host of constituents that work together to provide a particular action in the body, which can offset what we refer to as "side effects" when we use an isolated compound, and offer a more sustainable therapy. There is a unique comfort in knowing that you can walk out your back door and find a leafy green friend to treat a particular ailment, can help with a bee sting, or even make your salad more interesting. Communing with plants connects us to the rhythms of life, encourages us to slow down, and thereby reduces stress.
During the childbearing cycle women frequently seek out natural alternatives for treatment of their health conditions and good ways to nourish and strengthen their bodies. I can guide you to herbs used to address fertility challenges, managing common pregnancy complaints such as heartburn or hemorrhoids, anxiety, sleep issues, lactation, mild cases of postpartum depression, and promote overall well-being.
As an Herbal Educator, I offer a broad range of opportunities to help you learn how to connect with and utilize the plant world. We can meet for individual consultation to address specific health concerns or to enhance your already healthy lifestyle. You can invite me to present a workshop for you and your community on a topic that is relevant to your group. Or maybe you'd be more interested in a plant walk where we explore local trails and I can introduce you to plant allies.
Initial Consultation: $60 - $90 sliding scale
Workshop (3-5 hours): $500
In order to make this information accessible to all I offer opportunities for barter and a sliding scale.

Native to Europe and Asia, mugwort is an immigrant species here on Turtle Island. First Peoples of this continent have asked us to refrain from using ceremonial sage. Mugwort has been used for smoke cleansing ceremonies for centuries. Please join us on our beautiful land for learning about and harvesting Mugwort in early June. We will craft bundles for burning, make mugwort tea, and more. If you have a group of 10-15 people, we can book a special day for you.
