La Tierra de Sueños
Writing as Liberation + Open Mic
Facilitated by Katherine Bahena-Benitez
A generative writing workshop where participants where invited to explore themes of liberation, migration, identity, and reimagined futures through poetry, personal narrative, and collective reflection. Questions: What does freedom look like in your voice? How do we carry our lineages? What does it mean to migrate, not just across borders, but across histories, languages, and dreams?
A powerful evening of storytelling, poetry, and performance. Our open mic was a space to reclaim our narratives, uplift community voices, and share truths that deserve to be heard.
This offering was rooted in knowing, we've been carrying and feeling so much over the past couple of weeks. May our collective voice be the light in darkness.
Featuring poets, vednors, and a DJ. Sponsored by Topo Chico, Barrilitos, Butchona, Bravo Studios, Renacer Colectivo, I Love Chamoy, Barrio Drive
