Katherine Bahena-Benitez is a poet, playwright, and screenwriter. Writing for Katherine is a form of liberation and remembrance exploring identity, race, and reimagined futures; offering a space where the intimate becomes universal.

Katherine's work has been published in the Latino Book Review, Hermosa Libros, HEROICA, Museum Guild, and the International Human Arts Movement.

Katherine has led writing workshops at: *University of the Pacific, *Oberlin College & Conservatory, Fordham University, Brown University, California State University Sacramento, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Koreatown Storytelling Program, and the University of Chicago to name a few.
