Katherine Bahena-Benitez is a poet, playwright, and screenwriter. Writing for Katherine is a form of resistance and remembrance exploring sexuality, identity, race, and empowerment; offering a space where the personal becomes political and the intimate becomes universal.

Katherine's work has been published in HEROICA, Museum Guild, and the International Human Arts Movement.

Katherine has led writing workshops at: Fordham University, Brown University*, California State University Sacramento, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Koreatown Storytelling Program, and the University of Chicago to name a few.
