Morena is a play that centers four brown girls. The play follows their journey of truth, healing, self empowerment, reclaiming, and releasing. Morena is a love letter to Brown girls who like myself, grew up feeling their brown skin was not beautiful. In this play, the girls celebrate their identities by throwing a party for brown girls like them, who do not always receive celebration.
