During my two student teaching placements, I have been able to create meaningful relationships with the students. Fostering a calm and encouraging environment for students to explore a variety of media, both placements have provided me with the opportunity to assist students through scaffolding as we worked through technical skills that prepared them for their unit projects.  

Teaching a variety of students with various ability levels, ethnicities, language proficiencies, socioeconomic backgrounds, et cetera, has improved my understanding and approach to creating a classroom where everyone is successful and takes pride in their work. Each student has contributed to my educational experience and has strengthened my understanding of the endless possibilities an art classroom has to offer.
