Throughout these month-long lessons, students explored printmaking, bookmaking, and storytelling. Kindergarteners and first graders made prints with their fingers, designing creatures and characters. Second through fifth graders experimented with gelli printing, using storyboard sheets to plan. They created collaged stories: second and third graders focused on color stories, while fourth and fifth graders designed interactive stories for their elementary buddies. They crafted characters and accessories and learned to construct accordion booklets.
