Kathakosh allows users to create an account using mobile OTP login. Users may request deletion of their Kathakosh account and associated personal data.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your Kathakosh account, send an email to:
kathakoshcreations@gmail.com
Use the subject line:
Kathakosh Account Deletion Request
In your email, include:
- Your registered mobile number used in Kathakosh
- Your name or pen name
- A clear request to delete your Kathakosh account
- Any relevant screenshot, if available
Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PIN, card numbers, CVV, or sensitive banking details.
2. Verification
Before deleting an account, Kathakosh may verify that the request is genuine and made by the account owner.
We may contact you through your registered details or request limited verification information.
3. What Data May Be Deleted
After verifying the request, Kathakosh may delete or anonymize account-related data such as:
- User profile information
- Name or pen name
- Bio
- Profile photo
- Saved stories
- Follow records
- Notification records
- Personal account information linked to the user account
4. User-Generated Content
Published stories, story parts, comments, ratings, contest entries, reports, and public platform activity may be deleted, anonymized, restricted, or retained depending on technical, legal, copyright, contest, moderation, fraud-prevention, tax, audit, or platform-safety requirements.

5. Data That May Be Retained

- Abuse prevention
- Compliance with Google Play, Firebase, or applicable laws

6. Processing Time
We will try to process genuine account deletion requests within a reasonable time after verification.
Some deletion or anonymization actions may take additional time due to backups, logs, legal requirements, dispute records, or technical limitations.
7. In-App Deletion Path
Kathakosh may also provide an account deletion or account deletion request option inside the app through the Profile, Settings, Help, or Contact section.
If you cannot access the app, you can still request deletion by using the email method above.
