I have learned life is a lot bigger than just the boarders of my hometown. Now don't get me wrong, I do love Cicero, New York. However getting to explore places I have never been before, and create dream boards of places I want to visit one day have given me the drive to want to work towards those dreams.
Thinking about everything "within reason" or analytically is not a way I want to live. Because with being a veterinarian, or in any medical field for that matter you will get thrown so many curve balls and unknowns, there is just no way you know every move. So you must be able to think on your feet, and in your spare time do research, dream of new ways to accomplish things, and continue to move forward even if there are things trying to hold you back.
Through traveling I have learned all of these qualities. As doing your research is key to making sure you end up somewhere safe, and looking up the best places to enjoy your time. In traveling there is also the money talk, which can get complicated, but by being smart at what time you book flights, where you stay, and what you purchase can make your trip turn from a two thousand dollar trip to a 500 dollar trip. And finally knowing that things won't always go to plan can turn your trip from a disaster to an adventure.
