Career Goals

Growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandpa, as I got older his health started to decrease rapidly. He had multiple strokes and a heart attack, I do not remember much of his therapy or rehab he did. He was one of the main reasons why I wanted to be in the healthcare field. As I went through high school I fell in love with the way the heart works. My main career goal is to be passionate and successful about what I am doing in life. Right now my major career goal is to be a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist. I chose to get a major in exercise science because of my background and how hands-on the learning is. With becoming a cardiac rehabilitation specialist I can continue to learn about the heart while improving the lives of others.

The summer of 2023 I will be starting an internship at Hendricks Regional Health in the Cardiac Rehabilitation department.
