In honor of Emmitt Till, Studio 1B was dedicated to designing a memorial at his murder site. My project incorporates Morse Code in the layout of windows and spindles to share words and famous names of the Civil Rights Movement.
The memorial is a point of reflection but also a celebration of Emmitt Till’s life. It is also a celebration of the heroic and brave people who fought for equality.
