I have taken a wide range of classes in my undergraduate at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Below is a short description of a few of the courses that have stood out to me.
This class discussed the various aspects of leadership and invited discussion on complex topics such as values, morals, and accountability. I explored who I am as a leader and created a deeper understanding as to why I make the leadership decisions that I do.
This class explored many different types of disabilities and their different facets. The class discussed accommodations, IEPs, and social beliefs around those with disabilities. I built a personal toolkit of assistive technology and ideas for accommodations. I got to learn from my classmates as well as visiting speakers about what it is like to go through the world with a disability.
This class was an introduction to the intersection between environmental studies and indigenous studies. I completed a semester long research project about how indigenous storytelling relates to traditional ecological knowledge, a project that fascinated me and made me excited.
