kAKUMA CLIMATE ACTION, is here for the purpose of making a change in Kakuma by combating climate challenges which have been a major problem to the refugees.
To enhance the agricultural resilience of refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp by combating drought through tree planting. To restore soil fertility, improve water retention, and increase crop yields, promoting food security for the refugee community.
To plant and maintain trees that restore soil fertility, improve water retention, and enhance agricultural productivity in Kakuma Refugee Camp.
To increase food security for refugees by promoting sustainable farming practices and providing resources for self-sufficiency.
To create a sustainable and thriving agricultural environment in Kakuma Refugee Camp, where refugees can grow their own food and ensure long-term food security. To transform the camp into a model of environmental resilience.
I would like agricultural product to be improved in Kakuma, this can help refugees to meet their day-to day basics needs; we can do this by plating trees and embracing environmental awareness.
Kakuma Refugee Camp faces severe drought, making agriculture difficult and threatening food security. With little rainfall and dry, degraded land, farming struggles to sustain the growing population. Kakuma Climate Action is committed to solving this crisis through large-scale tree planting. Trees play a crucial role in restoring soil fertility, retaining moisture, and preventing desertification. They create a healthier microclimate, reducing heat and increasing the land’s ability to support crops.
By optimizing agriculture, we empower refugees with sustainable farming solutions, ensuring better harvests and long-term food security. Our initiative not only combats drought but also strengthens resilience, offering hope for a greener future. Every tree planted is a step toward transforming Kakuma into a thriving, self-sufficient community. Join us in this mission—together, we can restore the land, optimize agriculture, and build a sustainable future!

Kakuma Refugee Camp faces severe drought, making agriculture difficult and food security uncertain. The lack of rainfall and dry, infertile soil prevent crops from growing, leaving many refugees struggling to produce enough food. Without intervention, the land continues to degrade, worsening the crisis. Kakuma Climate Action is dedicated to addressing these challenges by planting trees and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Our project has already planted 180 trees, with plans to expand this effort significantly. Trees play a crucial role in restoring soil fertility, retaining moisture, and preventing desertification. Additionally, we aim to introduce water conservation techniques like mulching and agroforestry, helping farmers make the most of limited water resources. Through training programs, we will educate refugees on sustainable farming methods to improve crop production.
By taking action now, we can transform Kakuma into a greener, self-sufficient community. Together, we can fight drought and ensure a better future
