Şcoala Gimnazială Avram Iancu is a lower secondary school; it’ s years since it has been among the best schools in the city. The school is situated in the centre of Bistriţa, a nice town in the NorthWest of Transylvania, Romania. It is a big school with almost 955 students aged 7 to 15 years old. There are 21 primary classes and 14 secondary classes. There are classes which follow the traditional educational system, but also two classes which follow the “step by step” alternative teaching method, and classeswhich follow other modern methods ofteaching and learning. In our school we teach all the subjects in the National School Curricula (Mathematics, Romanian, English, French, German, Sciences, Technology, Religion, Physical Education, Civics, Art, Music, History, Geography, Computer Science), but we have also classes of where students study English four times a week.We get involved in national or regional projects on different topics.
