Outdoor education for inclusion

Romania, Bistriţa, 15-18 April 2024

The mobility in Bistriţa was organized on four days around the topic of physical education and outdoor acivities.

On the 1st day we met the local authorities,  the school inspector responsible with European projects, we visited the City Hall and met the European relations responsible. We visited the school and attended a cultural show at the town museum. We had a guided tour of the city.Also, we watched the partners presentations on the traditional games.

On the 2nd day the students attended a “First Aid” course. They gained basic knowledge about how to offer the first aid in case of different accidents but also how to treat injuries during hiking trips. We also attended the” Tourist Orientation” activity in The Schullerwald Forest. The students learned how to use the map and the compass, how to use modern apps not to get lost, but also nature signs (stars, the sun and the moon, trees, ants etc). Another successful activity was “Traditional games and sports” during which each team taught the others a traditional game. The Italian team held the “Healthy Lifestyle” workshop for the students. They were taught what a good nutrition means and how to get the feeling of wellbeing at school.

On the 3rd day we visited Salina Turda and held the activity called: “Games and activities inside the salt mine”. We also visited the famous city of Cluj-Napoca

The 4th day was the dissemination day and sharing the official documents.
