Hi, I am Alegra, I am 18 years old and I live in Jeevodaya in Mysore.
I have been living in Jeevodaya for 10 years and I like a lot to stay here.
My favorite colour is black. My hobbies are singing, dancing with friends, music (I play the drums) and also sports, in particular throwball.
My favorite food is masala dosa, a traditional South Indian food. It's a thin and crispy crepe made from a fermented batter of rice and urad dal (black lentils), we always eat it for breakfast.
I am studying for a degree in Maharani College; I participated in the photography class because I like to take pictures of nature and the weather.
I am enjoying this course and in this course I like the pattern.
WHAT ABOUT
THE TOPIC?
For my photography project I chose sports, because I like it a lot. I like sports because I practice one of them, I have been playing throwball for three years in Vidya Jyothi School. Throwball is a sport very popular in India, especially in Karnataka, and consists of throwing the ball into the opposite team’s field, and if the ball touches the ground you get the point. Twelve people play for each team: nine members are main players and the other three players are extra players, they will enter to play if someone is tired.
When I practice this sport I feel happy, I love to play in a team and spend time with friends. During this sport I can be myself, I have a lot of energy to use, so I throw all the stress away.
After the training my body is in pain, but in the end I like this sensation.
I think that sports in general are important for health, both of the body and of the mind, and also for communication.
In this project I want to represent this sport and explain the emotions that it can create.
