My name is Sr. Vimala, and I am from Tamil Nadu. I come from a family of six, and I am the fifth child. In 2001, I moved to the state of Karnataka with the desire to become a sister. I chose to join the Ursuline Sisters of St. Jerome in Somasca. I received my first profession in 2006 and my final profession in 2011.
Currently, I am teaching Mathematics at Vidya Jyothi School. Teaching brings me great joy, and I truly love and cherish my students.
Alongside teaching, I have always had a deep passion for Photoshop and photography. Eventually, I had the opportunity to formally learn photography. During the course, I gained valuable knowledge about how to use a camera properly, how to handle it with care, and how to capture clear, meaningful photos.
This experience sparked a lasting interest in photography.
WHAT ABOUT
THE TOPIC?
For my photography project, I chose the theme of cultural diversity. India is a land of immense variety—our people, languages, food habits, and styles of dress are wonderfully diverse. Through my work, I want to highlight this rich cultural tapestry. I plan to capture photographs that showcase different scripts and languages, traditional clothing from various regions, and a wide array of regional cuisines.
