Visitor Registration

Visitors who need to enter the building must fill in the Visitor Registration Form, show their ID (e.g. Passport, residence card etc.) and borrow the temporary access card at the Guard House next to NAOJ main gate.  [Opening Hours: 7:30 to 21:00 on weekdays]

Visitors are requested to wear the neck strap during their visit.

Visitors should return it upon leaving the campus.

Visitors have to follow this procedure each day of their visit if the visit extends across multiple days.

There are currently no dining or shopping facilities available within the NAOJ Mitaka Campus.

(A cafeteria and shop previously existed but are currently closed and are expected to reopen in the near future.)

Food trucks will be available at the entrance of the Central Building (Main Building) during lunchtime.

Approximate cost: 800–900 JPY

Menu examples:

Wednesday: Ginger pork and rice, etc.

Thursday: Gapao rice, taco rice, etc.

● Lunch Boxes

We are arranging lunch boxes available upon same-day morning reservation.

Approximate cost: 1,000 JPY

● Vending Machines

For drink vending machines, please ask staff on-site for directions.
